Lesson 44 : The Old and New Age Contrasted  (3:4-5)

Paul taught that others may have insight into this mystery  –  No room for boasting  –  We are to pass on to others what God has given us  –  V. 5 contrasts what the Lord did in the older age and is doing in this new age  –  ‘Other generations of a different kind’  –  God withheld this knowledge in the OT  –  No specific group of mankind is designated  –  The New Testament interprets the Old Testament  –  Israel is not the same as the NT churches  –  Another reference to the Trinity  –  The gift of prophecy given until the written revelation was completed
