The ‘comparative of a superlative’  –  Paul has made similar statements in his letters but this goes further than the others  –  Paul may have believed this due to his past  –  Paul was evaluating himself apart from the grace of God  –  Paul could see the sinfulness of his heart only by the grace of God  –  The closer someone is to God, the more they see His holiness and the more they see their sinfulness  –  If Paul was this humble, what should our attitudes be?  –  Are we humble?  –  We cannot make ourselves humble  –  Seeing our sinfulness should not paralyze us from service  –  Paul’s comments here supports the Pauline authorship of Ephesians
