Lesson 46 : Paul’s Gift of Grace to Serve  (3:7)

Verse 7 is a transitional verse  –  The gospel is clarified by the mystery  –  Paul returns to his opening thought  –  Paul’s gift of grace is the office of the apostleship or the ministry to the Gentiles  –  The grace that saves includes the grace that enables for ministry  –  God alone is given the glory for the work of Paul  –  The miracle of the new birth is under-appreciated by believers  –  ‘Deacon’ defines  –  Different Greek words used to express ‘serving’  –  ‘Deacon’ was widely applied to those who serve  –  The original office of the deacons was one of service, not spiritual leadership
