Lesson 30 :  The New Creation of a Raceless Race!  (2:15-16)

Two clauses giving the purpose for removal of the wall and making the law of no effect  –  ‘into one new man’ : A raceless race!  –  The New Testament churches is a ‘new’ creation  –  The churches are not the continuation of Israel  –  Peace here is horizontal peace, not vertical peace  –  This horizontal peace is based upon our vertical peace with God  –  Not only did the Gentiles need reconciled to God but so did the Jews  –  Restoring a once-lost unity?  –  Evidence for Pauline authorship  –  The cross killed the enmity between Jew and Gentile  –  Each church is a microcosm of God’s eternal purpose
