Election: God is most frequently the subject – The choice was made not in a vacuum but with all options known beforehand – This election was of individuals – The word itself bears no negative connotation towards those not chosen – God’s election involves love and intense personal interest – The choice brings both privilege and responsibility – Election is a balance of the sovereignty of God and human responsibility – The results of God’s choosing His own is thanksgiving – Election itself is not the dividing issue – Election and man’s free will – Why did God decide to rescue sinners from their just judgment? – Why has God revealed to us election?
